Description of Econo Lodge Lakeside: Northern Michigan University and the Marquette County Airport are also nearby. The Thunder Valley Raceway is 12 miles and the Up Children's Museum is four miles from the hotel. The hotel is ideally located with hiking, biking and snowmobiling trails located 15 miles along the lakefront.
I have stayed here many toimes, enjoying a nice lakefront location, albeit across a busy road; rooms also are good size. Howevewr, in spite of some (mostly exterior) updating the rooms are dated, the grounds are a bit shabby but my real reason for no longer using this motel is its ever increasing price. Every year for several years the rates have been raised quite a lot. It now is seriously overpriced for what it is.
